Prairie Rose Trustees Vote To Close Bindloss School

Mar 9/10 - Another emotional vote for trustees at the Prairie Rose School Division.  It was continually referred to as "the toughest decision" they will ever have to make, but the board voted 4-2 in favour of closing Bindloss School, effective this upcoming June 30th.  Declining enrollment and budget constraints were cited as reasons.  However, some of the trustees spoke to the benefits of the students being in a larger environment.  A handful of parents were on-hand for the vote, saying they remain concerned about the long bus rides their children will have to be on to get to school in Acadia Valley.
