Mavericks Release 2010 Season Schedule


Mar 18/10 - The Medicine Hat Mavericks have unveiled their regular season schedule.  The 48-game docket begins May 30th at home to the Lethbridge Bulls.  That would start a three-game homestand.  They will finish the season with a four-game roadtrip ending in Okotoks July 27th.

Tigers To Pick 14th In Bantam Draft


Mar 17/10 - The Prince George Cougars will pick first in this year's WHL Bantam Draft.  The lottery was held Wednesday morning with Edmonton and Lethbridge rounding out the top-three.  The Tigers will pick 14th.  According to International Scouting Services, Alex Forsberg of the Beardy's Blackhawks is the top-ranked prospect.

Etem Ranked 23rd In ISS Rankings


Mar 16/10 - Medicine Hat Tigers forward Emerson Etem continues to turn heads with scouts.  He is ranked 23rd in the International Scouting Services' latest update on top draft-eligible talent.  That's a rise from November's 29th.  Plymouth's Tyler Seguin tops the list with Windsor's Taylor Hall and Cam Fowler rounding out the top-three.

Tigers Rake In Cash From Pink Sticks


Mar 16/10 - The Medicine Hat Tigers' fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society on Saturday brought in some big money.  The club used pink composite sticks for breast cancer awareness, then were signed and auctioned off.  The sticks picked up $6,465, with Emerson Etem's going for the most, followed by netminder Tyler Bunz.

Lanz Steps Down As Cubs' Coach


Mar 16/10 - Medicine Hat's Junior 'B' Cubs will have a new face behind the bench next season.  During the team's award ceremonies on Sunday, Dale Lanz announced he would be stepping down after two full seasons with the Cubs.  His son, Brendyn, was named Team MVP among the multitude of awards handed out.
