Mar 15/10 - Bretton Cameron is the Medicine Hat Tigers' player of the week.  He had a two-goal effort in Lethbridge Friday and followed that up with two more on Saturday, including his 40th, at the Arena against the Hurricanes.  Runner-up was forward Taylor Gal, who had two goals and two assists over the weekend.  Meantime, season-ticket holders and wheelchair patrons will get first crack at Tiger playoff tickets.  They will be available for pickup from Monday until Wednesday, then the remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9am Thursday.  The Tigers will host Kootenay for games three and four next Tuesday and Wednesday.  The series will begin Friday and continue Saturday in Cranbrook.

Local Lacrosse Team Wins Provincials


Mar 15/10 - The home team took the U16B provincial ringette championships over the weekend.  The Medicine Hat Rage beat the Leduc Jaguars 9-3 in Sunday's final.  Four players had two-goal games for the Rage.

Tigers End Season On Winning Note


Mar 14/10 - The Medicine Hat Tigers finished off the regular season with a win. Bretton Cameron scored twice, including his 40th of the season, as the Tigers downed Lethbridge 4-1 Saturday night. Emerson Etem and Taylor Gal also tallied. But with a Kootenay win over Edmonton Saturday, the Ice will have home ice advantage in game one of their playoff series. That will gets underway Friday in Cranbrook.

Brooks Bandits Season Comes To An End


Mar 14/10 - The Brooks Bandits had their playoff hopes dashed Saturday night. Camrose scored with 35 second left in regulation, then went on to win 4-3 in double overtime. Riley Simpson had a pair of goals for the Bandits, who fell 4-1 in their second round playoff series.

Tigers Win Wild One In Lethbridge


Mar 13/10 - A goalie fight, line brawl and comeback highlighted the Medicine Hat Tigers' 5-4 win in Lethbridge Friday night.  The Hurricanes were leading 3-1 late in the second when they fights began, including a spirited affair between goaltenders Tyler Bunz and Linden Rowat, who were both tossed from the game.  The Tigers would then score four goals in the third to pick up the win.  Bretton Cameron led the way with two goals while Wacey Hamilton, Taylor Gal and Matt MacKay also tallied for the Tigers.  The two teams meet again on Saturday.  The Tigers remain one point back of Kootenay, so they need a win and an Ice regulation loss to claim fourth in the Eastern Conference.
