Mar 9/10 - A domestic assault case out of Brooks will go to a preliminary hearing in June. Facing a plethora of charges including assault, sexual assault and forcible entry, Allan Calvero will have his case heard again June 22nd. Calvero, 24, was arrested December 30th, after his common-law wife went to Brooks RCMP, alleging Calvero confined her to their apartment for a month, refusing to let her leave and repeatedly assaulted her. Over the course of an afternoon, a Court of Queen's Bench justice will hear the allegations in full and decide if there is enough evidence to go to trial.
