Mar 10/10 - Alberta's Education Minister may step in the way of grade reconfigurations in Medicine Hat's Catholic School system. The board has received a letter from Dave Hancock says if the province cannot find a place to house Francophone students, he will "direct" them to postpone the plan. That plan was to not renew a lease agreement with the Francophone board for St. Thomas Aquinas School and take back the facility to alleviate the Catholic division's space shortage. The minister says the city will be getting modulars, but the board argues that may not be enough. The board is also penning a letter back to Hancock with what they are deeming "misconceptions" highlighted in his letter.
