Mar 11/10 - Alberta Liberals support the idea of a thorough review on how the government handles school closures. They say Calgary and Edmonton are being hurt by closures in the urban core. But on the heels of Prairie Rose School Division voting to close Bindloss School, Party Leader David Swann says there is more that can done to help rural areas. "Are going to get some of the economic diversification that we need," Swann told CJCY News. "So that people will have jobs, will be able to support families and will have the tax base to support some of the infrastructure that is needed like schools." Swann also made the point that school have always been the centre of communities.
