Mar 15/10 - Medicine Hat's MLA says he's pushing to have Dave Hancock, Education Minister, come to the city. Concern has been raised over the public school board looking at potential closure of two schools, while the Prairie Rose School Division approved closure in Bindloss last week. Rob Renner tells CJCY News that budgetary constraints have everyone on edge. He says some decisions have to be made as communities age and demographics within neighbourhoods change. But in every decision, he says they have to be made on a case-by-case basis. If the education minister were to come to town, Renner would also like him to sit down and talk about relations between the Catholic and Francophone boards.
