Mar 18/10 - A quick adjournment in proceedings against a man charged in a Labour Day 2008 death. Carl Haywood, 44, remains in custody as lawyers continue working towards an arraignment and possible trial. He faces counts of first-degree murder and attempted murder in the beating death of Sharmarke Warsame and brutal beating of another man. RCMP found Warsame's body outside of Brooks days after a frantic call from the victim, saying he was being beaten and didn't know where he was. Five other people charged in the case have had their matters completed in the court system. Haywood is due back in court April 15th.
